Security and data handling
A plain-English summary of what TRU Network stores, what stays with you, and what a browser-delivered app can and cannot expose.

1. Short answer
TRU Network separates our software from your data. Your TRU Board file is controlled by you, either on your device or in your own cloud storage. TRU Home data stays on your own hardware. TRU Card is different because hosted public profiles and reporting are the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer board content to train AI models.
2. TRU Board
TRU Board stores your board as a data.json file you control. On desktop this may be a local folder. For shared use across devices, the file can sit in your own OneDrive or another supported storage location.
The browser app calls TRU Network server routes for licence checks and product decisions such as board rendering, status calculation, folders, templates, printing and AI-assisted wording. Those routes are behind a valid login and product grant. Request data is processed in memory for the response and is not stored as a TRU-hosted copy of your board.
Where a feature needs Microsoft OneDrive access, the browser uses your signed-in Microsoft session to read and write your own file. We do not turn your board into a TRU-hosted database.
3. Browser software and IP
Any web app has to send some software to the browser. A signed-in subscriber can inspect the page structure, styling and client-side workflow. We do not describe that browser shell as secret.
The parts that make TRU Board valuable — server decision logic, prompts, licence/session enforcement, source-master files and secrets — are not delivered as public browser files. Browser files are guarded so they do not contain server paths, private keys, source-master paths or customer board data.
4. Accounts and licence checks
Product access requires a valid user session and a product grant. The public website can show branding, legal pages and login screens, but the TRU Board app and its server routes require authorised access.
Administrative account data, such as customer name, email, company, product grants and support notes, is stored so we can operate the service.
5. TRU Card
TRU Card profiles are hosted because they are meant to be reached by NFC card, QR code or link. Profile content you publish is public by design. Views and clicks are recorded for the cardholder's reporting.
6. TRU Home
TRU Home runs on hardware in your property. Camera footage, sensor readings, calendars, shopping lists and device history stay on that hardware unless you ask us to support or configure your system.
7. Service providers
We use trusted providers for website hosting, authentication, email, payments and related operations. They process data only as needed to provide those services. More detail is set out in our Privacy policy.
